Sylvin Pineau plays the piano beautifully. Hearing his music, someone could never imagine that he ever suffered a terrible brain injury.

Sent flying through a windshield back in the late eighties, Pineau has been left permanently disabled by his accident. After losing his job with CN Rail following the incident, Pineau moved to Belleville with his wife and young daughter. A few years after the move, his daughter passed away from a brain tumor, and his wife left him.

Despite these blows that life has dealt him, Pineau carries on. A talented pianist since his youth, he occupies his time by playing piano across Belleville in numerous venues, often providing musical accompaniment to food programs being run out of church basements.
